    The redemption log

For whoever opens the jar: tick a coupon when you enjoy it and the remaining uses update.

Nothing to tick yet. Fill the jar above and your coupons land here.

These coupons are playful promises between people. Keep them kind, keep them fun.

From blank paper to a full jar

A homemade gift that costs an afternoon and gives away hours: you choose the moments, we lay them out ready to cut.

    1. Choose the moments. Breakfast in bed, a walk, the movie pick, a chore swap, an hour on the phone, a lift somewhere.
    2. Set the dates. An expiry and a limit per coupon keep the promises moving instead of gathering dust.
    3. Print, cut, fold. Slips with a dotted fold line, cut marks in the margin and a label for the jar.
    4. Hand it over. They tick each coupon in the log, and the CSV keeps the dates of everything enjoyed.

    Coupon jar questions

How many coupons should a gift of time jar hold?

Between 6 and 30. Six makes a small, easy gift and thirty fills a jar for the whole month. Most people land on twelve to twenty, so every pick feels like a treat rather than a chore.

What does the limit on each coupon do?

Every coupon is good once unless you change it. You can allow 2, 3, 5 or 10 uses, or any time. The redemption log counts each tick and shows how many uses are left, and a coupon with none left is marked as used up.

What happens on the expiry date?

In the last 14 days the log shows how many days remain, on the last day it says so, and the day after it marks every coupon as ended. The cut sheets and the CSV carry the date too. If you pick 31 December, the coupons are good all the way through that day.

Are the coupons a real obligation?

They are playful promises between people, a nudge to spend time together. Keep the wording kind, keep the asks small, and extend the date whenever you both fancy it.

    Are the ticks saved?

Only if you choose. Saving is off until you tick the box in the log, and it keeps the jar and ticks in this browser on this device. Untick it or press the forget button and it is erased.

How do I get a clean print?

Choose A4 or Letter above, open the print dialog, set scale to 100% (actual size), margins to none and switch on background graphics. Cut on the tick marks in the margins, then fold each slip on the dotted line with the print on the outside.

Can the receiver open the jar on their own phone?

Yes. Copy the receiver link and send it however you like. It opens the same coupons with an empty log, so they can tick things off and keep their own CSV.
